Recently, Alexandra and Thomas from Munich were having breakfast with us. They had gotten married two weeks prior and shared why they chose the mountains for their honeymoon. "A marriage is like a mountain," Thomas said with a smile. "You don't know exactly what to expect; sometimes it gets strenuous, but the view from the top is worth every effort." Alexandra nodded and added, "And it's best when you walk the path together."

These words stuck with us because they perfectly describe what many couples seek during their honeymoon here: a symbolic start to a shared adventure.

Arriving in Your Own World Together

After a wedding, you need time to breathe. All the planning, excitement, many people, and emotions need to be processed. Our stylishly furnished apartments provide the perfect retreat for this private moments for two, without distractions. Particularly popular with newlyweds are our apartments with a private whirlpool and panoramic terrace. Here, you can end the day while the sun sets behind the Schlern, bathing the Dolomites in warm light. These intimate moments during your honeymoon just the two of you and the mountains often provide exactly what was missing after all the hustle.

The hiking trails here are perfect for reconnecting during your honeymoon. Not because they are particularly spectacular, but simply because they are there. You walk, talk, stay silent, and marvel. Some couples are out and about every day, while others spend half their days in our spa area or by the pool. Both are perfectly fine. The beauty of a honeymoon in the mountains is that you can find your own pace.

Indulge and Enjoy

Our spa area invites you to relax together. The soothing warmth of the sauna, gentle scents, and relaxing atmosphere allow body and mind to finally let go after the stressful wedding planning. Our elegantly designed pool with a direct view of the Santner offers a moment that many couples describe as magical: floating in warm water while the majestic rock faces rise into the sky before you. Between strenuous mountain tours and cloud watching on the terrace, everything is possible here.

Many couples also appreciate that they can take their wedding photos here without time pressure and waiting guests. The Seiser Alm with the Schlern in the background, blooming alpine meadows, and rustic mountain chapels the backdrop for romantic honeymoon pictures speaks for itself. The images often radiate a calmness and naturalness that is hard to capture on the wedding day itself, amidst soup and main courses.

Culinary Delights for Two

In our restaurant, we cook what has grown here and what is in season. South Tyrolean cuisine with a Mediterranean flair. After weeks of menu planning and tastings for the wedding, many appreciate this: simply eating what they crave without having to consider whether everyone else will like it. Just for themselves. A wedding vacation also means culinary enjoyment without compromises.

Many of our guests come from cities. And almost all say the same: It is so quiet here. At night, you don't hear cars; in the morning, you are awakened by the birds and sometimes our neighbor's cows. During the day, the wind carries only the sound of church bells. In the silence, you often realize how loud it was before not just outside, but also inside. You sometimes only notice how tense you were when you start to relax.

The Right Place for Your Honeymoon

The couples who spend their honeymoon with us are not looking for a perfectly planned honeymoon vacation that is a cookie-cutter experience for everyone. They seek a place where they can arrive within themselves, with their partner, in this new chapter of life. And perhaps that’s exactly what the mountains can provide: space for what is needed right now. For movement and stillness, for adventure and retreat, for deep conversations and shared silence.

So if you are considering where to go after the wedding: the Dolomites are a wonderful choice for your honeymoon. Not because everything is perfect here, but because so much is possible. A wedding vacation in South Tyrol combines romance, nature, and relaxation and because a mountain is just a mountain: honest, enduring, and the view is truly worth it.
