The valley station of the Seiser Alm cable car is located Just a 5-minute walk from the Hotel Waldrast Dolomiti – keen walkers can also set out on foot for the pastures.
Guided hiking tours for guests at the Hotel Waldrast Dolomiti are available as part of the Alps Activ activity programme.

Hiking on the Seiser Alm: Your hiking holiday in Siusi

In the hiking paradise "Alpe di Siusi" every hiking enthusiast will find something for himself, the beautiful old alpine huts, the majestic peaks of the Sciliar as well as the landscape with its green meadows. In addition to the Alpe di Siusi, the neighbouring municipalities of Castelrotto, Siusi, Tiers am Rosengarten and Fiè allo Sciliar offer great hiking trails and walks for families and hikers of all kinds.

One of the most beautiful hiking tours is the circumnavigation of the Sassolungo group with Sassolungo and Sassolungo Slatto on the Sciliar.

The hiking area of the Alpe di Siusi connects with a total of 350 kilometres of hiking trails: meadows, breathtaking viewpoints, fixed rope routes and mountain peaks. As the "largest high alpine pasture in Europe" the Alpe di Siusi offers 300 days of sunshine and a natural spectacle that is second to none. On more than 56 square kilometres you will find a unique landscape with a rich flora which is hardly to be surpassed in natural richness with 790 different plant species. Guests and families can collect unique experiences while hiking on the Alpe di Siusi. Especially in the summer, comfortable hiking trails but also demanding tours invite you to spend an unforgettable hiking holiday on the Alpe di Siusi with a panoramic view of the Unesco World Heritage of the Dolomites.

Winter and summer hikes in Siusi and its surroundings are well worthwhile. An easy and beautiful path is, for example, the village circuit from Siusi to Castelrotto, where a generous circular walk leads over beautiful fields and through tranquil villages. Or how about the somewhat more demanding climb up the tourist path on the Sciliar, here you can take the public bus from Siusi to the "Frommer" inn and then the chairlift to Spitzbühel. From here you can reach the tourist path via path no. 5.
