Four generations, one story

The Hotel Waldrast Dolomiti in Seis am Schlern can recount almost 100 years of family history. Four generations of adventures, ideas and dreams:

When in 1934 Herta Knittel took over a guesthouse in Seis am Schlern, she was probably unaware that she was writing the first chapter of a family story that would continue for generations, one that would gain momentum as the decades passed. The Hotel Waldrast Dolomiti is nowadays run by the third and fourth generation of a family that has learned hospitality from the cradle.

Today, drawing on experience, enjoyment and a passion for their work, Herta’s grandson Ulrich, his wife Paula and their children Vanessa, Maximilian and Patrick all care for their guests, both regular and new, whether they are looking for peace and quiet or adventure and activity. Every member of the family has a role to play in the business – Ulrich and Paula as directors, Vanessa as receptionist and masseuse, Patrick as chef while Maximilian works at reception, serving and as a sommelier.
